About Baxia

Baxia was one of the nine sons of the dragon. He enjoyed transporting heavy items across the land, [3] or at least liked to carry weighty objects. [2] For this reason, his father ordered that his image be placed under grave monuments and other important statues, [2] and to this day, Baxia's image can be found at the bottom of stone monuments. [1]

Physical Description

Baxia was a long dragon, sometimes described as being part-tortoise. [2] In ancient times, Baxia was a simple turtle, and many people see Baxia's image and assume him to be a turtle, not a dragon. [1] However, Baxia has the body of a turtle and the head of a dragon. [1]
